The attractive buckle was I deem never issued nor worn and has maintained stunning and/or pronounced detail: it does show, however, some minimal staining ie. age (and/or dust-) simply caused by decades of storage only. It has, however, never been cleaned nor polished and is still a bit dirty ie. stained and comes as recently found. As stated above is the buckle a non-maker-marked example that is void of a makers'-designation (as is more often encountered). These decorative RAD officers'-type belt-buckles could be worn on the standard-issued-type leather-based belts but could also be used with the 'Ausgeh'- (ie. parade) brocade-type belts. It should be noted that these 'RAD' officers'-type belt-buckles can easily be graded 'scarce', especially when they come is such a 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition.
