The attractive and/or bright-red-enamelled medal - which is IMO executed in silver-based- ie. silvered metal - shows the capital characters 'FJ' surrounded by the text: 'Viribus Unitis' on its front and has the date: '1849' on its back as to be expected. The piece - which is never cleaned nor polished - comes mounted on its original, green-/reddish coloured ie. -striped ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') which has been folded in the 'Austrian-pattern' and that shows some wear, age ie. staining. The medal is neatly maker-marked in its ring and shows the maker-designation: 'Wilh. Xunz. - Wien'. The medal comes in a nice, albeit worn condition: a tiny enamelled chip is present at the right-side of its front (see pictues).
