I recently found two attractive - and/or fully matching! - pairs of WH (Heer) officers'-type shoulderboards, as were intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Nachrichten-Truppen' (or lieutnant within an army signals-regiment) and that come both still packed in their period, 'Cellophan'-based wrapping-paper (ie. pouch), both pairs in a very nice (ie. virtually mint-/unissued!) condition. The boards - which are approximately 12 cms. sized in length each as more often encountered - are piped in the bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured and/or 'smooth'-type wool and come without tongues: they are both pairs that were intended to be worn as 'sew-in'-pairs. The sets - which originate from the 'left-overs' of an old tailor-shop where they were recently uncovered - naturally never had any pips nor cyphers attached, denoting the simple officers'-rank of: 'Leutnant'. The pairs have silverish-grey and/or fairly sub-dued 'upperdecks' making them IMO sets that were specifically intended for usage on the regular, officers-type army-tunics. The pieces are simply never worn nor tunic-attached and come as stored for decades: they came still packed in their 'Cellophan'-based wrapping-papers ie. pouches (which are still for the most part preserved and come naturally with the sets). The price is naturally intended for one single pair. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a very nice and/or desirable WH officers'-type shoulderboard-set that was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Nachrichten-Truppen'!
