Very nice - albeit regrettably single! - IMO mid-war period, WH (Heeres) officers-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard, as was intended for a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied des Machinengewehr-Abteilung 7' - overall nice condition!

This is a truly attractive - and scarcely encountered albeit regrettably single! - IMO mid-war period, WH (Heeres) officers-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard, as piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour, as was intended for - and worn by! - a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied des Machinengewehr-Abteilung 7' (or lieutnant that served within the machinegunners-section within an army infantry-regiment, numbered: '7'), in overall very nice and IMO only moderately used ie. worn-, condition. The strap - which is of the mid-war- and/or 'standard'-issue officer-type - has a silverish-grey coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-) 'upperdeck' and shows the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour: the board is executed in the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected. The board never had any tongue and was worn as a board of the 'sew-in'-type. The board - which measures approximately 11,7 cms. in length - only shows some minor age and/or moderate wear (simply caused by decades of storage and/or possible wear - it might have never been tunic-attached). The piece shows a golden-toned, smaller-sized and/or Gothic-styled 'M'-cypher and/or '7'-numeral attached: both devices - which are only minimally tarnished - denote the officers'-rank and/or function as being a: 'Leutnant u. Mitglied des Machinengewehr-Abteilungs 7'. Simply a very desirable and/or fully 'text-book' officers'-type shoulderboard that belonged to a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied des Machinengewehr-Abteilung 7': I deem that I have priced this great board according to its unmistaken scarcity and/or desirability!
