Neat, 'Feinzink'-based WH (Heeres) ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation: '1. Land.Schütz.Ers.Batl. 6' (being a disc as intended for a soldier that served within the: 'Landesschützen-Ersatz-Battailon 6') Neat, 'Feinzink'-based WH (Heeres) ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation: '1. Land.Schütz.Ers.Batl. 6' (being a disc as intended for a soldier that served within the: 'Landesschützen-Ersatz-Battailon 6')

Neat, 'Feinzink'-based WH (Heeres) ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation: '1. Land.Schütz.Ers.Batl. 6' (being a disc as intended for a soldier that served within the: 'Landesschützen-Ersatz-Battailon 6')

This is a neat example of a zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based WH (Heeres) and/or: 'Infanterie'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke'), bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: '1. Land.Schütz.Ers.Batl. 6' (and as such being a disc that was intended for a soldier (or NCO) who served within the first company of the: 'Landesschützen-Ersatz o. Ergänzungs-Battailon 6' being a specific infantry-related, replacement formation) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The disc - which is executed in a clear and fine letter-type and that also shows the soldiers'-blood-group-type (Type '0') - is still a bit dirty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. It comes as worn and/or stored for decades and originates from a private-household somewhere in Germany. Simply a nice and honest (and truly not that often encountered!) 'Landesschützen'-related ID-disc that belonged to a soldier (ie. NCO or officer) who served within a specific and not that often encountered infantry-related unit. I deem that this neat disc would certainly merit further investigation!
