This is a a very nice - and actually scarcely encountered! - small-sized (ie. only 7 x 6,5 cms. sized-), period portrait-picture, showing a (regrettably unidentified) WH (Heeres) officer (IMO captain or 'Hauptmann' and/or 'Adjutant') and wife, wearing his 'high-quality', field-grey coloured officers' tunic (ie. 'Waffenrock') and/or decorations (amongst which his KC or 'Ritterkreuz des EK'), overall nice condition. The small picture - as stated only sized: 7 x 6,5 cms. - shows nice details such as the neat and most certainly 'high-quality', field-grey coloured officers'-tunic (ie. 'Waffenrock'), the officers’-type visor-cap (or 'Schirmmütze'), his aguilettes identifying him as an 'Adjutant', his dress belt/buckle (ie. brocade-belt) and all his awards (amongst which a 'Infanteriesturmabzeichen in Silber' (or silver IAB), a single-pieced medal-bar (holding an: 'EK II Kl.'), an 'Eisernes Kreuz 1.Klasse' (or iron cross 1st class) and of course his Knights Cross or 'Ritterkreuz des Eiserne Kreuzes'). The back of the picture (which seems to have been somewhat cut) shows some writing and provides only a visible date when the photo was taken: ie. '1942'. As stated was I not able to identify this officer ie. 'Ritterkreuzträger' something that will IMO be possible if wanted. Simply a very nice WH-officers ie. 'Ritterkreuzträger' period picture!
