Attractive - and/or fully matching and actually scarcely encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for a: 'Hauptmann der Reserve des Kav.- o. Aufkl.-Schützen-Regiments 11'

This is a truly very attractive - and/or fully matching and/or actually scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered'-, officers'-type shoulderboards, as piped in the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour and having the dove-grey-coloured 'secondary branchcolour', as was specifically intended for - and/or with certainty worn by! - a: 'Hauptmann der Reserve des Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiments 11' (or: reserve-captain and/or gunner who served within the army cavalry- ie. reconnaisance regiment ie. unit numbered: '11') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used-, worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Kavallerie'-type shoulderboards and have the greyish-silver- (ie. somewhat sub-dued-) 'upperdecks'. The boards show the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured, branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were most certainly intended (and worn as) a pair of the 'sew-in'-type (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11,7 cms. in length each. The pair was clearly issued- and/or worn and does show moderate age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The pair has a matching set of (neatly golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or fully identical-) Gothic-styled: 'S'-cyphers, four '1'-numerals and four identical golden-toned pips period-attached, denoting that the officer who wore these was a gunner ie. an officer who served within the: Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiment 11'. All ten devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny) age-patina. These 'standard'-pattern, officers'-type shoulderboards could be used with the regular-style officers-tunics but could naturally also be worn on the specific black-woolen 'Panzer'-type 'wrap-around'-tunics. The pair shows some minimal staining (and is a bit tarnished) and still shows some of the thread- and stitching-remains of having been once tunic-attached. It should be mentioned that these neatly 'cyphered', 'Heeres'-type 'Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs'-shoulderboard-sets are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce': simply a very attractive set that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann der Reserve des Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiments 11'!
