This is a truly attractive - and/or fully matching and with certainty very scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type, neatly 'cyphered' shoulderboard-pair (showing a scarcely observed, regular- ie. larger-sized, golden-toned and/or fully matching captital 'E'-cypher-pair attached!) as was specifically intended for a: 'Major der Panzer-Truppen u. Mitglied einer Panzerzug' (or: Panzer-major and member within one of the army armoured-train units) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem most certainly issued- albeit hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The neat shoulderboards - which are piped in the bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour - are executed in the typical 'smooth'- (ie. moleskin) type wool as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The shoulderboards measure approximately 9,7 cms. in length each and come mounted onto their smaller-sized tongues. The boards - which have the smooth-woolen-based 'backings' and/or silverish-grey (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-) 'upperdecks' as to be expected - were most certainly a pair that was intended for usage on a regular (ie. 'front-used'-) tunic. As stated above, have the boards a pair of (fully matching, non-magnetic, regular-sized- and/or neatly golden-toned- albeit minimally tarnished-) so-called: 'E'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Major'. Both devices retain their original prongs. The pair was just minimally used and/or worn as such (as can be deducted from the present condition) whereas one of the boards shows some minimal moth-damage (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a 'Panzer'-officer who served within one of the armoured-train units!
