This is a neat - and actually not that often seen! - zinc-based, WH (Heeres) 'Infanterie'- (ie. infantry-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the (clearly!) stamped-unit-designation that simply reads: 'Stabskp. Inf.Ers.Batl. 451' (and as such being a disc that was used by a soldier ie. NCO who served within the staff-company of the infantry, replacement (ie. 'Ergänzungs') bataillon numbered '451') and that comes in an overall nice (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The disc - which is executed in a fine letter-type and comes mounted onto its period cord - is void of the bearers' bloodgroup-type (something that is more often encountered). The piece shows some minimal age and staining but was never cleaned. Simply a neat and honest 'Heeres'- ie. 'Infanterie'-related ID-disc!
