This is an attractive - and nowadays actually very scarcely encountered! - Waffen-SS field-grey-coloured, so-called: M43-pattern cap-trapezoid (ie. 'Mützentrapez') as was executed in 'BeVo'-weave pattern as was specifically intended for usage on the M43-model field-caps (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmützen') and that comes in a truly never worn- (ie. 'virtually mint ie. unissued'-), condition. The piece on offer here just shows some truly minimal age ie. staining simply caused by having been stored as such for decades. The badge was simply never confectioned nor 'trimmed' and comes 'as straightly cut-of the role': as such it can naturally easily be used for attachement onto a cap (as can be seen on the pictures). The trapezoid originates from an insignia-lot that was brought to the USA by an US-veteran and that remained there for years in a collection. Simply a very attractive Waffen-SS cap-trapezoid that can easily be used to restore a cap or to be stored in any cloth-insignia ie. Waffen-SS collection and that is accordingly priced!
