This is an unusal item that originated from a German soldier: a Russian (I deem) WWII-period, silver-toned tobacco-box showing a representation of Lenin coupled with some Cyrillic text (that I could not decypher) and that comes in an overall nice- (and I deem clearly used- ie. worn-), condition. The box - which is somewhat larger-sized and that measures approximately 11 x 9 x 2 cms. - has clearly been used and shows some evident aging (however, no real damage whatsoever is visible). The box is executed in silver-toned metal and is totally void of any makers-designation: moreover, does the lid not close properly. Simply a neat and with certainty unusual 'German'-acquired 'war-souvenir' that most certainly originated from the Russian-campaign!
