This is a neat - clearly used and carefully tunic-removed! - example of a WH (Heeres) early- (ie. evt. pre-) war-period- and/or white-coloured 'Panzer'-type breast-eagle of the so-called: 'M39'- (ie.'M40'-) pattern (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere') as was executed in the neat 'BeVo'-weave pattern onto a black-coloured background that was specifically intended for usage on the black-coloured 'Panzer'-wrap-around'-tunics and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- ie. worn-), condition. The eagle is executed in white-coloured linnen onto a black-coloured (and also linnen-based) background. The piece - which isexecuted in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave as to be expected - comes in a confectioned and/or trimmed condition and does show some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by decades of storage and/or wear: as such it can naturally easily serve to restore any early-pattern, black-coloured 'Panzer'-wrap-around'-tunic. It should be noted that excellent reproductions of this type of eagle do exist: this is naturally afine period, original specimen that is I deem accordingy priced. This breast-eagle came together with the equally worn and used pair of Pz-officer shoulderboards that I offer under number: #58627: all three insignia-pieces were used by the same 'Leutnant' who wore these and stored them as such for decades.
