This is a truly attractive - and I deem only minimally used- and/or worn example - of a two-pieced WWII-period medal-bar (ie. 'Spange') showing respectively an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class) and a: WH Czech 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '1 Oktober 1938' (as was given to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czecoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938) that both come period-mounted as a (non-detachable) 'Doppelspange' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit issued- and I deem only minimally worn-), condition. The iron cross - which is an example by a by me unidentified maker - was with certainty never cleaned and has a very nice and/or attractive age-patina: it retains some of its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally tarnished ie. stained appearance (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross - which shows some threads attached in order to keep it firmly in place - has very nice and/or pronounced detail and has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'shiny- ie. satin-like) core: it is void of any real paint-damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The Czech 'Anschluss'-medal is a truly attractive example having great pronounced detail: truly most of its (bright-) golden-toned finish is still perfectly preserved whereas the medal has an attractive tarnish ie. age-patina without showing any defaults. The 'Spange' just shows some minimal dirt and/or dust acquired over the years and is nicely 'backed' with a piece of greyish-coloured wool (something that is more often seen) and comes naturally mounted on its (still functional) pin-ie. catch set-up. Simply an attractive and desirable example of a non-detachable, WWII-period 'Doppelspange' that can be mounted onto almost any tunic!
