Interesting, smaller-sized- and TR-period 'vessel-flag' being a so-called: 'Wassersportflagge' (being of the desirable size of: 30 x 21 cms. that is fabricated in typical, linnen-based fabric) and that comes in a minimally damaged condition Interesting, smaller-sized- and TR-period 'vessel-flag' being a so-called: 'Wassersportflagge' (being of the desirable size of: 30 x 21 cms. that is fabricated in typical, linnen-based fabric) and that comes in a minimally damaged condition Interesting, smaller-sized- and TR-period 'vessel-flag' being a so-called: 'Wassersportflagge' (being of the desirable size of: 30 x 21 cms. that is fabricated in typical, linnen-based fabric) and that comes in a minimally damaged condition

This is a fairly unusually seen - somewhat smaller-sized- and/or: TR-period ie. I deem even pre-war-period - so-called: 'Wassersportflagge' (or: flag for water-sports) being of the desirable size of: 30 x 21 cms. that is fabricated in typical, linnen-based fabric and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem clearly used- and just minimally damaged), condition. This type of flag - which was introduced on April 6, 1936 - was allowed to be flown as a single flag. Only boats, which owners were of German nationality and were members of one of the official institutions for water-sports were allowed to show and use this flag. It distinguished those boats, which owners were members of one of the National-Socialist Sport organizations from those, which were called "wild" boats. Something that was also mentioned in a quote from the magazine entitled: 'Die Yacht' dated 16 November 1936 and that read: "By means of this flag our vessels can be officially distinguished from those wild, disagreeable yacht-similar vessels, which owners are globetrotters and their only intention is to buy picture postcards. These persons rarely contribute to strengthen the respect to our nation abroad". The piece on offer here comes in a truly used condition and does show several tiny holes: it still retains, however, vivid and bright colours and comes mounted on its period-attached attachment-ropes. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty unusually seen! - TR-period flag that is I deem accordingly priced!
