This is an attractive - actually rarely encountered! - HJ- ie. BDM (ie. 'Hitlerjugend' or: 'Bund Deutscher Mädel') related, commemorative day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') being a greyish-toned- and/or (I deem) light-weight zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example as was issued to commemorate a specific (national!) youth-rally ie. gathering named the: 'Reichsberufs-Wettkampf der Deutschen Jugend' that was held in the year 1939 and that is entitled: 'Reichswettkampf - Köln a. Rh. - 1939' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit surely issued ie. clearly worn-), condition. The still very detailed and/or pronounced badge is as stated very nicely preserved and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). The neatly maker- (ie. 'Hofstätter - Bonn'-) marked piece shows a detailed illustration of the Kölner town-scene (ie. depicting the famous 'Kölner Dom' and eagle-device) and is holding a so-called, enamelled: miniature 'HJ-Raute' which is totally undamaged) with above that the year-designation (1939) and stylished text as mentioned above. The badge comes naturally mounted onto its (functional) pin-/catch set-up. Simply an attractive - and with certainty rarely seen! - youth-related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that is priced according to its rarity and/or desirability!
