Superb, WH (Heeres) so-called: 'Truppen-Traditionsabzeichen der 4. Gebirgsjäger-Division' as executed in zinc-based metal (having a period-replaced but ingenious 'mounting-system' in place)

This is a very attractive - and actually truly scarcely encountered! - so-called: 'Truppen-Traditionsabzeichen der 4. Gebirgsjäger-Division' (or 'Plakette' as officially known per regulation) being a typical (I deem) zinc-based metal example that comes mounted onto its (I deem period-replaced) ingenious 'mounting-system' and that comes as clearly worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed. The attractive piece depicts the famous (blue-coloured) 'Enzian'-flower (as can be seen on the pictures). The (tiny) shield-shaped badge - sized: 3,6 x 2 cms. - still shows some of its period-applied bluish-toned colour and is somewhat stained and dirty but was never cleaned and comes as found. The badge on offer here obviously misses its period pin/catch set-up and came mounted onto an ingenious 'mounting-system' that can be folded-side-ways when being installed onto a cap (and that shows two zinc-based mounting-plates). As possiblly known were these (actually semi-official!) badges also properly entered in both 'Wehrpass' and/or 'Soldbuch': they also were presumably handed-out with an official award-document. The piece on offer here was never in collectors' hands and was recently uncovered at a German private-household. Simply a very attractive - and truly scarcely found! - 'Gebirgsjäger'-related: 'Truppentraditionsabzeichen': only the first such rarely seen item I ever had on offer!
