This is an attractive - and fully complete, matching and untouched! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 2nd Class) being a non-maker-marked example as was produced by the: 'Rudolf Souval'-company as based in the town of Wien (ie. Vienna) and that comes stored in its period, 'Zellstoff'-based pouch and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued- albeit never used- nor even mounted-), condition. The piece on offer here has never been cleaned and shows a very nice (blackened- and truly 'satin-like'-) patina and shows an undamaged, black-coloured 'inner-core'-section. The piece - which is void of a makers'-designation but that can most certainly be attributed to the 'Rudolf Souval'-company ie. 'Hersteller 58') - retains only some of its polished sides (or: 'hochpolierte Kanten') and does just show some minimal storage-age only. It came stored in its accompanying (and matching!), blue-coloured- and 'Zellstoff'-based pouch and came together with its 'virtually mint', full-length- (ie. approx. 29 cms. long-sized-) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschitt') as issued and/or stored for decades. As stated above has the cross great and very fine detail: the pouch (and cross) have just a bit 'tarnished' over the years (the set is just a tiny bit dusty). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the pouch shows a pencilled name of the recipient (which is hard to decypher). Simply a neat - and completely matching! - IC-set by the 'Rudolf Souval'-company that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
