This is an attractive example of a typical later-war-period, WH (Heeres) so-called: 'M44'-pattern- and/or trapezoid-shaped breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere') being a field-grey-coloured example that is executed in the neat 'BeVo'-weave pattern that is void of an interwoven 'BeVo-Wuppertal'-makers'-designation and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- and/or clearly never tunic-attached-), condition. The piece - which is executed in field-grey- ie. greyish-coloured linnen - comes as 'straightly cut of the role' and simply cannot be upgraded. This was the 'standard'-issue WH breasteagle as was used on most (late-war and/or battle-dress shaped) 'M-44-model' tunics. The eagle comes of course in a fully unconfectioned condition and just bears some truly minimal staining and/or wrinkled appearance simply caused by years of storage only. Great to restore any M44 army-tunic or ideally fitted to be stored in any eagle-collection!
