This is an attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled), NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments' (or: junior-sergeant who served within an army mountain-troops-regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The regular-sized shoulderstraps - which are approximately 11,4 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured and smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks'. The straps - which have the the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured- and/or (typical) woolen-type piping attached - shows the (silverish- ie. somewhat greyish-coloured) NCO-braid attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat straps - which came mounted onto their functional (and unusually rib-cord-based!) tongues - show as stated above some minimal usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'Gebirgsjäger'-related, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This shoulderstrap-pair originated from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments'!
