Superb, (post) WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern') being a maker- (ie. 'O&B'-) marked example that came stored in its truly luxuriously-styled, bright-red-coloured etui

This is a very attactive example of a (post) WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern') being a clearly maker- (ie. 'O&B'-) marked example that came stored in its luxuriously styled, typical bright-red-coloured etui and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved- (and I deem issued- albeit never worn-), condition. The attractive (and truly bronze-coloured!) medal (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern') is a very nicely preserved- (and 'G1'-marked-) example that is executed in bronze-coloured, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based metal. It retains all of its somewhat darkened, bronze-toned finish (as can be seen on the pictures) and comes mounted onto its period ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') which is stored in the specific 'compartment' in the etui. The bright-red-coloured- and semi-leather-based etui comes also in a wonderful and hardly used condition: it retains a fully preserved off-white- (ie. beige-yellowish-coloured-) and/or felt-like interior in place (which does show some minimal age and/or staining). The lid shows the (obligatory) printed text: 'Treue um Treue' followed by a facsimile signature of the 'Reichskanzler' Paul von Hindenburg (as can be seen on the pictures). These attractive sets could be presented (or privately purchased) in the late twenties and thirties and are quite collectible and are actually not that often offered for sale. I deem that I have priced this attractive - and complete! - 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern'-medal-set accordingly!
