Attractive - and I deem mid- (ie. later-)war-period - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen' (being a non-maker-marked, 'Type H'-pattern example as was produced by the: 'C.E. Juncker'-company) Attractive - and I deem mid- (ie. later-)war-period - zinc- (ie. This is a truly attractive - albeit clearly worn and (I deem) mid- (ie. later-) war-period - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen' (or: paratroopers-war-badge) being a non-maker-marked example that was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'C.E. Juncker' having a firmly riveted, golden-coloured eagle-device originally attached and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat and detailed badge - which as stated above has been moderately worn - comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- and/or functional (fully unaltered) 'thick wire'-styled catch (ie. catch set-up). These mid- (ie. later-) war-period badges show a detailed, golden-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of two rivets as is visible on the back of the badge). These 'Type H'-pattern zinc-based badges do show, however, nice and/or pronounced detail overall. The badge retains mosy of its period golden-coloured finish and shows a somewhat tarnished age-patina as is more often encountered. The badge can with certainty be attributed to the maker: 'C.E. Juncker' as based in the town of Berlin: the specific details on this badge fully corroborate this. The piece is still somewhat stained ie. dirty but has never been cleaned. A similar example is also described in the excellent reference-book entitled: 'The German Luftwaffe & Heer Paratrooper Badges of World War II - 1936-1945' by Thomas M. Durante wherein this particular pattern is given the unique reference-designation: 'C.E. Juncker - Type H'-variant. Simply a very nice - and garuanteed original! - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based 'Juncker'-version of this desirable Luftwaffe-war-badge!
