Superb - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for - and used by! - an: 'Oberleutnant eines Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Abteilungs'

The truly attractive - and neatly 'cyphered'! - shoulderboard-pair is piped in the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour and was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant eines Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within an army, cavalry- ie. reconnaissance unit ie. regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. most certainly issued and/or moderately used- ie. worn- and carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The truly attractive shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-related shoulderboards and have the greysish-silver-coloured (ie. somewhat-sub-dued-) 'upperdecks' (making this a pair that was - I deem - intended for usage on a typical 'front-used'-tunic). The boards show the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) branchcolour (and were constructed from the typical smooth-type wool as more often seen). The boards never has any tongues attached and were clearly intended for usage as a pair of 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 9,8 cms. in length each and show a (fully matching) pair of smaller-sized, Gothic-styled- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'A'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a matching set of (neatly golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair is truly void of any real age, wear nor staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and neatly 'cyphered'! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Abteilungs'!
