This is a very attractive - and untouched and fully complete! - medal-set: being a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) being a non-maker-marked- and/or typical (bronze-toned) 'Buntmetall'-based specimen that comes packed in its original pouch of issue by the: 'August Menze & Sohn'-company based in Vienna (Wien) as recently found. The neat medal came together with its original, confectioned- (and approx. 19 cms. long-sized, golden-brown-coloured) ribbon and came packed in its neat ('Zellstoff'-based-) and/or: brownish-coloured, carton-based pouch as issued and/or stored for decades. The medal - which is a neat 'Buntmetall'-based specimen was possibly issued but that was hardly used. The medal has an attractive golden-bronze-coloured age-patina (simply caused by decades of storage) and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The pouch comes in an equally nice and complete condition: it is, of course, still functional (and shows the clearly printed makers'-designation: 'August Menze & Sohn - Wien - VI' printed on its back as stated above). Simply an attractive - and I deem fairly early-war-period! - 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen'- (aka: 'Westwall'-medal-) set that is with certainty accordingly priced!
