This is a neat (and fully complete!) example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 2nd Class) being a clearly maker- (ie. '65'-) marked example as was produced by the: 'Klein & Quenzer'-company as based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that comes stored in its period- (albeit truly sun-faded!), 'Zellstoff'-based pouch and that comes in an overall nice- (and I deem issued- and moderately used- ie. handled-), condition. The piece on offer here has never been cleaned and shows a nice (blackened- and somewhat 'satin-like'-) patina and shows an almost undamaged, black-coloured inner-core-section. The piece - which does show the makers'-designation '65' stamped into its ring - has lost its polished sides (or: 'hochpolierte Kanten') and does show some regular storage-age. It came stored in its accompanying, blue-coloured 'Zellstoff'-based pouch (which has lost almost all its colour due to sun-exposure) and came together with its somewhat shortened- (ie. approx. 16 cms. long-sized-) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschitt') as issued and/or stored for decades. As stated above has the cross great and very fine detail: it is just a bit 'tarnished' over the years and has never been cleaned (it is just a tiny bit dusty). Simply a neat - and complete IC-set that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
