The attractive - fully matching, presumably issued but partly never used nor worn! - 4-pieced insignia-set was with certainty always together and was recently found as such. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured and/or: 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and are truly very hard to be upgraded. The set has truly greyish-coloured- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-) 'upperdecks' making this - I deem - a pair that was most certainly intended for usage on a regular- (ie. front-used-) tunic (and NOT for a: 'Waffenrock' or dress-tunic). The boards are just a bit 'tarnished' ie. stained by normal age. The boards - which measure approximately 10,8 cms. in length each - never had any pips nor cyphers attached, denoting the junior officers'-rank of: 'Leutnant' (ie. lieutnant). The boards come mounted onto their typical officers'-type tongues (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards came with an equally nicely preserved (and also never worn- nor tunic-attached) pair of neatly hand-embroidered, officers'-type collar-patches (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Offiziere des Heeres') which are also piped in the bright-red-coloured branchcolour. The silver-toned hand-embroidery - which is executed on a dark-green coloured- and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based background as to be expected - shows some truly minimal staining and/or storage-age: I deem that these tabs were, however, never tunic-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The set is neatly 'backed' with beige-coloured, buckram-based material as is more often encountered. This interesting 4-pieced insignia-grouping belonged to a: 'Leutnant eines (Sturm)Artillerie-Regiments' who was issued this set but who never used the collar-tabs and stored it as such for decades. Simply a very attractive '(Sturm)Artillerie'-related insignia-grouping that will be very hard to be upgraded!
