This is an attractive - and I deem early-war-period- and/or: typical bright-golden-toned ie. 'Feuervergoldetes' and/or aluminium-based - so-called: WH (Kriegsmarine) ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the stamped bearers'-name and/or function ie. unit-designation that simply reads: 'Gustav Battige - N 1646/39 T' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The disc bears a coded number that simply reads: 'N 1646/39 T' (which I could not fully identify). The disc comes in a fine, albeit moderately used- and/or worn condition and shows some regular wear (sligthly torn-out holes): it has a truly golden-toned- and aluminium-like appearance. The disc was never cleaned nor polished and is as stated a bit dirty. The disc shows a clearly stamped blood-group-type ('Type AB') something that is not that often seen on KM-related discs. It should be noted that these 'standard'-pattern, KM 'Erkennungsmarken' are actually not that easily encountered!
