Attractive, aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) ie. 'Pioniere'-related ID-disc bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation: '1./Pi.Ers.Batl.17' and that comes stored into its (period) leather-based pouch as worn

This is an attractive example of a bright-silver-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based, WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Pioniere'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: '1./Pi.Ers.Batl.17' (and as such being a disc that was - I deem - intended for a soldier (or: NCO) who served within the: '1. Kompanie des Pioniere-Ersatz-Bataillon 17' ie.: 1st company of the army-engineers, replacement-battalion, numbered: '17') that came stored into its (period, black-coloured) leather-based pouch as worn and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in an overall nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat 'torn-out' holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc also shows the soldiers'-blood-group-type (Type 'A') as is clearly stamped onto its front (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). The pouch that shows a (period-attached- and linnen-based) cord might be privately-made but was most certainly always kept (and worn) as such. Simply an attractive and honest WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Pioniere'-related ID-disc (set) that is with certainty accordingly priced!
