This is an attractive - and fairly scarcely encountered! - early-pattern armbadge (ie. 'Ärmelabzeichen o. Ärmelraute') as was specifically intended for usage by a female member who served within the: 'Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst' (or: women's labour-service) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and never worn- nor tunic-attached- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The neat badge - which is somewhat shaped as a regular 'HJ-Raute' - measures (not folded) 11 x 9 cms. and shows a black-coloured swastika-sign surrounded by some cornflowers on a red- and white-coloured background. The 'BeVo'-woven-type badge - which was to be worn on the left upper-arm - was simply never used and comes 'as straightly cut-of the role' as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst' was the predecessor of the later-founded: 'RADwJ' (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst des weiblichen Jugend'). Simply a very attractive, early-period female-related TR-related 'Ärmelabzeichen' that will be impossible to be upgraded!
