The attractive youth-related membership-lapel-pin (ie. 'Mitgliedsabzeichen') shows some regular wear, age and/or minimal staining but has a totally undamaged- and/or neatly enamelled (and undamaged) surface. It has never been cleaned and retains a really attractive- and only minimally tarnished age-patina. The pin - which comes mounted onto its functional and fully unaltered pin-/catch set-up - is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken 'Abzeichen'-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (9269A). The piece on offer here is an interesting, somewhat smaller-sized, 'variant'-pattern badge (ie. having a diameter of only 2 cms.). The piece is a neat example of the 1st pattern: something that is easily recognisable due to the fact that it depicts the text: 'D.J.' (instead of: D.J.V. as can be noticed on DJ-badges of the first pattern). The pin is not maker-marked on its back but shows the (double!) patent-pending-designation: 'Ges.Gesch.' (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that this attractive - 'smaller'-sized and 'variant'-pattern - DJ-lapel-pin of the first-pattern is with certainty accordingly priced!
