Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of 'high-ranked', WH (Heeres) cyphered officers'-pattern shoulderstraps piped in bright-yellow as was intended for an: 'Oberst eines Nachrichten-Schützen-Regiments'

The attractive - and actually truly scarcely found! - 'high-ranked' (and neatly 'cyphered'!) shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type shoulderboards and have the silverish-golden- (ie. truly somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty issued and/or worn as such and do show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelbener'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as can be noticed on the pictures). The pair never had any tongues attached and were most certainly used and a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern: they were somewhat 'roughly cut-off a tunic' (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 9,3 cms. in length each and show a matching pair of (golden-toned, larger-sized, Gothic-styled- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'S'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and two matching sets of (neatly golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached denoting the (high) officers'-rank of: 'Oberst' (ie. full colonel). All six devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). Taking into account, the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used'-tunic. It should be mentioned that these officers'-pattern, 'Nachrichten'- (ie. army signal-troops-) related shoulderboards are actually quite difficult to come by and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply a very attractive - and neatly 'cyphered'! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged an: an: 'Oberst eines Nachrichten-Schützen-Regiments'!
