This is an attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Offziers-Anwärter eines Panzer-Grenadier-Regiments' (or: sergeant first-class and officers-candidate who served within an army, infantry-related rifle-regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The regular-sized shoulderstraps - which are approximately 10,6 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks'. The straps - which have the bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured - and/or (typical) woolen-type piping attached - shows the (silverish-coloured) NCO-braid attached and do show four (zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Next to this does the pair show a 'double-sized' pair of slip-ons (ie. 'Laschen') period-attached denoting that the NCO who wore this pair was an: 'Offiziers-Anwärter' ie. officers'-candidate (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that this is a typical pair that originated from a private tailor-shop. The neat straps - which came mounted onto their functional albeit truly small-sized- (and unusually linnen-based!) tongues - show as stated above some minimal usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). This shoulderstrap-pair originated from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: mid-war-period, 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel u. Offziers-Anwärter eines Panzer-Grenadier-Regiments'!
