This is an attractive - somewhat differenty-styled but still matching and actually scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 100' (or: sergeant first-class who served within the army mountain-troops-regiment, numbered: '100') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The regular-sized shoulderstraps - which are approximately 11,8 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, (truly!) smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks'. The straps - which have the the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured- and/or (typical) 'rayon'-type piping attached - shows the (silverish- ie. somewhat yellowish-coloured!) NCO-braid attached and do show two (matching, smaller-sized) sets of so-called: '1'- and/or: (double) '3'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') and four pips period-attached: all ten devices are executed in (somewhat tarnished) and I deem zinc-based metal ie. 'Feinzink' (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that this is a typical pair that originated from a private tailor-shop. The neat straps - which came mounted onto their functional (albeit smaller-sized) tongues - show as stated above some minimal usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). Although this pair shows clearly somewhat differently styled NCO-braid attached I have no doubt whatsoever that it was worn as a pair. It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This shoulderstrap-pair originated from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 100'!
