This is an attractive - matching but truly used- and/or worn! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the darker-green (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel u. Offziers-Anwärter des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 100' (or: sergeant and officers'-candidate who served within the army mountain-troops regiment, numbered: '100') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used-, worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The somewhat smaller-sized shoulderstraps - which are approximately 11 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen- ie. 'boiled-wool' based 'upperdecks'. The straps - which have the darker-green (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping attached - shows the (silverish-coloured) NCO-braid attached and do show two (matching) pairs of so-called: '1'- and/or: double '0'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') and single pip period-attached: all eight devices are executed in (somewhat tarnished) zinc-based metal ie. 'Feinzink' (as can be seen on the pictures). Next to this does the pair show a double-sized slip-on (ie. 'Lasche') period-attached denoting that the NCO who wore this pair was an: 'Offiziers-Anwärter' ie. officers'-candidate (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that this is a typical pair that originated from a private tailor-shop. The neat straps - which came without tongues and that were worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type - show as stated above some obvious usage and/or wear (some staining and/or fair moth-damage is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This shoulderstrap-pair originated from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel u. Offziers-Anwärter des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 100'!
