This is a truly very attractive - fully matching and just moderately used but nevertheless truly rarely encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern, neatly 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the neat green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier der Gebirgsjäger u. Mitglied der Gebirgsjägerschule' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the army mountain-troops-related training-school as was based in the town of Mittenwald) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat - and fairly long-sized! - shoulderstraps measure approximately 12,4 cms. in length and have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, woolen-based 'upperdecks'. The straps show they bright-silver-toned, NCO-braid attached and do show the (Gothic-styled): 'S'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') which are machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'. These 'cyphers' are executed in the green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected. The straps show the (darker-green- ie. 'grüner'-coloured) woolen-based piping (that shows some minimal damage) and do show moderate age and wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which come mounted onto their functional tongues - show as stated above moderate usage and/or wear (some staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly rare'. This neat pair originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier der Gebirgsjäger-Truppen u. Mitglied der Gebirgsjägerschule'!
