Fully matching pair of WH (Heeres) EM-type (ie. This is a neat - albeit clearly used- and/or carefully tunic-removed but nevertheless truly rarely encountered! - matching pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- 'cyphered' 'summer-type'-shoulderstraps (being of the model as specifically intended for the 'Gebirgsjäger-Windjacke') as piped in the green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 98' (or: simple soldier who served within the army mountain-troops regiment, numbered: '98') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- and worn- and somewhat 'faded'-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 13,4 cms. sized in length as to be expected - have the 'standard-type'- and/or greenish-tan-coloured, linnen-based 'upperdecks' and show the so-called: '9'- and/or '8'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') which are machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'). The 'cyphers' are executed in the green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected but are faded due to obvious wear and/or usage (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show the woolen-based piping and do show clear age and wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which come without tongues and that were simply carefully 'cut-off' - show as stated above clear usage and/or wear (some staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly rare' even more so when they are specifically produced for usage onto the specific 'Gebirgsjäger'-type, protective '3/4-model' jacket ie. rain-coat (or: 'Gebirgsjäger-Windjacke'). This neat pair originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related EM-type 'Windjacke'-shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 98'!
