This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly rarely found! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat u. Unteroffiziers-Anwärter u. Mitglied einer Unteroffizierschule' (or: simple soldier and/or junior-sergeant-candidate who served within one of the army NCO-training-schools ie. 'Unteroffizierschulen') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,8 cms. sized in length has the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdeck' (and 'silk-like'-type piping!) and shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') Gothic-styled so-called: 'US'-cyphers (or: 'Ziffern'). Both 'cyphers' are executed in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). Next to this, does the piece show a single (silver-toned) 'slip-on' (ie. 'Lasche') attached, denoting the soldiers' function of student who served within one of the army NCO-training-schools or institutes (ie. 'Unteroffizierschulen'). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Unteroffiziers-Anwärter u. Mitglied einer Unteroffizierschule'!
