Single - and scarcely seen! - WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M40-/M43'-pattern) 'cyphered' shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel des Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 54'

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M40-/M43'-pattern, 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap having the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel des 'Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 54' (or: sergeant who served within the army mountain-troops ie. engineers battalion, numbered: '54') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 12 cms. sized in length - has the 'standard-type'- and/or field-grey-coloured, woolen-based 'upperdeck'. The strap - which has the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and/or 'silk-like'-type piping - shows the (bluish-grey-coloured ie. somewhat 'sub-dued') NCO-braid attached and does show a matching pair of so-called: '5'- and/or '4'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') and single pip period-attached: all three devices are executed in (somewhat shiny) aluminium-based metal (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel des Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 54'!
