This is an attractive - and I deem issued albeit never nor hardly worn - example of a WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'- (ie. NCO-) type, so-called: 'Edelweiss'-armpatch being a nicely machine-embroidered specimen as was executed on darker-green wool as was specifically intended for usage by the: 'Gebirgsjäger-Truppen' (or: mountain-troops) throughout the war and that comes in an overal wonderful, condition. The piece is not 'backed' as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). It is, moreover, minimally stained caused by decades of storage only. Simply an attractive and hardly or even never worn example that is with certainty accordingly priced!
