The neat day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is executed in silver-coloured- (ie. typical tin-based) metal: it shows some normal wear and/or moderate age but has been truly nicely preserved. The shield-shaped badge comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch set-up and has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal age ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'tinnie' depicts a detailed illustration of a sportsman, sports'-stadium and swastika-device coupled with the text (ie. date) that reads: 'Gaufest R.f.L.- Karlsruhe - 21.-28.- Juli - 1935' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is quite detailed and retains most of its fairly bright and/or: minimally tarnished silver-coloured finish. It should be noted that all tinnies that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'town'- ie. 'Bezirks'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply a neat, 'Reichsbund für Leibesübungen'- (ie. 'N.f.L.'-) related 'tinnie' that is accordingly priced!
