This is a very attractive - and/or fully matching and not that easily found! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-style) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel o. Wachtmeister des Reiter-Regiments 18' (or: sergeant who served within the cavalry-regiment, numbered: '18') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- and most certainly worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdecks' - show the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps measure approximately 10,2 cms. in length each and come mounted onto their functional tongues and come in a nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition, overall. The shoulderstraps show the ('standard'-pattern) silver-coloured NCO-braid and two sets of (matching, larger-sized and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) '1'- and '8'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and two (matching, regular-sized and equally-styled) pips period-attached denoting the NCOs rank of: 'Feldwebel' (ie. sergeant) as can be seen on the pictures. The pair - which is of the 'standard-issued'- ie. non-private-purchased pattern - shows as stated above just moderate usage and wear (some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present as can be seen on the pictures). In any case an attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres o. Kavallerie'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel o. Wachtmeister des Reiter-Regiments 18': I am convinced that this neat - and scarcely found! - shoulderstrap-pair is accordingly priced!
