This is a truly attractive - albeit regrettably single - 'cyphered'- (and IMO early- ie. mid-war-period pattern-) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap, as was specifically intended for usage on the field-grey coloured navy-style tunics by a: 'Soldat eines Küsten-Artillerie-Regiments' (or soldier within a coastal-artillery unit), in overall nice (albeit IMO slightly used ie. worn-) condition. The board - which is fully 'text-book' in all facets and measures approximately 12 cms. in length (and has a width of 5,7 cms. as usually seen) has a field-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and comes mounted on its functional tongue. The board shows the neat interwoven 'winged shell'-cypher (as executed in golden-yellow-coloured linnen) denoting the rank of simple: 'Soldat'. The strap - shows some minimal age and/or wear (see pictures). It should be noted that ALL 'Küsten- artillerie' insignia-pieces are actually quite hard to encounter: those 'cyphered' examples even more so, which grades them easily as 'scarce'. Simply an attractive 'cyphered' naval EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage on the field-grey-coloured attire: too bad it is only a single example!
