This is a truly very attractive example of a neatly silver- (ie. 'Buntmetall'-) based and/or enamelled lapel-pin (aka: 'Eintrittsabzeichen') that was worn by a member of the organisation: 'Der Stahlhelm' - Bund der Frontsoldaten (Sta)', being a beautiful example that was issued in the year: '1924', in overall very nice and/or fully undamaged, condition. The badge on offer here is a so-called: 'Eintrittsabzeichen 1924' (or 'entry-badge'), which is nicely engraved and/or dated: '24/10/24' on its back (see pictures). The badge - which truly shows no enamel damage whatsoever - has IMO never been cleaned nor polished and still retains a truly nice and only slightly darkened- ie. tarnished age-patina. It is also neatly maker-marked with a logo ('STH') but is void of an additional makers-mark (but also bears the 'Ges.Gesch.' patent-pending mark as is more often encountered on these attractive SH-membership-badges). The back is engraved with a date: ('24/10/24') and shows a name/unit that reads: 'IV. MI. 5144'. It naturally also comes on its functional pin- ie. catch(-set-up). This badge - which is the regular ie. larger sized type - is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken' lapel-pin catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (4107N) and an estimated value of 140 Eu. I deem this is a very nice and most certainly decorative badge which I have IMO priced according to its very nicely preserved condition!
