The neat and still detailed badge misses it original prongs (ie. -set-up) and also misses its 'back-plate' and or woolen based 'backing': it was never cleaned and is still a tiny bit (rust-) stained ie. dirty caused by decades of storage and or fair wear. The piece was most certainly broken during the war and was since then worn as a piece of the 'sew-on'-type (some holes were added with which it was tunic-attached - see pictures). As stated above was this nicely pronounced badge clearly issued but it nevertheless retains most of its neat, bronze-coloured- albeit rusted finish: it came from a private-household and was never before in a collection.
