Interesting - and actually never before encountered! - 'Feinzink'-based and/or typical WWII-period (ie. 'Feuerschutzpolizei'-related-) ID-disc, bearing the stamped unit-designation: 'Feuerschutzpol. Rgt. Sachsen'

This is a truly interesting - and actually never before encountered! - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based and/or WWII-period (ie. 'Feuerschutzpolizei'-related-) ID-disc (ie. Erkennungsmarke) bearing the stamped unit-designation that reads: 'Feuerschutzpol. Rgt. Sachsen' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately worn- and/or used-), condition. The disc - which is executed in a clear and finely shaped (ie. italic-styled!) letter-type and that is modelled as a 'standard'-pattern, Wehrmacht ID-disc - is still a bit dirty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. It comes as worn and/or stored for decades. The ID-disc originates from a private-household somewhere in Germany. The disc shows clear evidence of having been worn (minimally torn-out holes): it was never cleaned nor polished and shows some minor zinc-corrosion (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a nice and honest ID-disc from a: 'Feuerschutzpolizei'-official that served within a - very small-sized (!) and/or named unit entitled: 'Sachsen'. There is some detailed information available on this specific unit (someting that can be found on the Internet - for further detailed and explanatory information one can study the following web-site: http://www.feuerloeschpolizei.de). I deem that this example would certainly merit further investigation!
