This is a neat - and very unsually encountered! - WH vehicle-ID-paper (ie. booklet) or: 'Begleitheft', as was issued for a: 'Lastkraftwagen Ford (Rum.)' holding the license-plates (or: 'Amtliches Kennzeichen') that reads: 'RU-15461' and that comes in a used but fully complete, filled-in and/or ink-stamped, condition. The neat, soft-covered booklet (measuring: 20,5 x 14,5 cms.) holds all its 40 pages as to be expected. These booklets were the only - and official means! - to identify any WH-vehicle and had to be kept with the vehicle at all times. The neat booklet on offer here was issued in the town of Pilia (I deem in Italy) on 7 July 1944. It most likely belonged to a truck that served within a unit that holded the: 'Feldpostnummer 41398' (as can been seen on the entries and/or ink-stamp as visible on first page of the booklet as can be seen on the photos). According to my references was this 'Feldpostnummer' attributed to a unit named the: 'Kfz.-Instandsetzungs-Park 602' (something that is furthermore elaborated by the ink-stamped entry on page 22 - see photo). The booklet only holds some minimal entries (on regular maintenance and/or technical check-ups) and is for the rest void of entries. It is, however, clearly used and has somewhat yellowed ie. became slightly stained over the years: it furthermore shows some normal wear and/or age. Simply a neat - and most certainly unusually encountered! - vehicle ID-booklet as was issued for a WH-vehicle ie. 'Lastkraftwagen' or truck that would merit further investigative work. This is only the first - and maybe last! - such neat WH-paper-item I have ever encountered!
