Nice WH ('Kriegsmarine') cap-tally entitled: 'Sperrschulverband' - nice, albeit clearly worn and/or tarnished condition!
This is a nice example of a WH ('Kriegsmarine') cap-tally entitled: 'Sperrschulverband', in overall very nice, albeit clearly worn and/or tarnished condition. The cap-tally - which measures approx. 146 cms. (!) in length - is a fine original example that originated from a small lot of KM insignia I recently acquired. The 'BeVo' like weave-pattern - executed in golden-yellow (ie. 'flat-wire'-like) thread - is simply stunning. The nice and detailed golden-weave embroidery has a somewhat 'darkened patina', something that is more often observed with these KM tallies. The wording: 'Sperrschulverband' originates from the pre-war 'Reichswehr'- (ie. 'Reichsmarine')-era and during the war it was replaced by the more commonly known: 'Minensuchverbände'. Simply a nice and truly used example of the 'standard' KM cap-tally!
