Nice set from a 'front-soldier' This is a nice little set that originated from a front-soldier comprising of a WH (Heer) fully matching pair mid-war type shoulder-boards (\'Feldwebel Grenzinfanterie Regiment 124\') and his aluminium ID-disc \'8./Grz.I.B.124\', both in nice, clearly used condition. The soldier most certainly served at one of Germany\'s borders: the \'Grz.\' abbreviation stands for \'Grenz\' (border). The boards have originally attached, silver-coloured cyphers (124), something that matches with the disc. The boards are executed in \'field-grey wool\' (having the white \'silk-like\' piping, neat silverish \'Heeres-type\' NCO braid and 2 identical pips and matching numerals ie. cyphers). The disc still comes on its original cord as worn. It should be noted that nice WH infantry shoulder-board sets a though to find: a set that comes with the ID-disc can be graded rare! Simply a very nice set of an unusual unit that would look awesome if attached to a M43 tunic!
