WH (Heer) 'Panzergrenadiere' boards
This is a nice pair of (IMO) mid-war WH (Heer) shoulderboards as worn by a \'Feldwebel der Panzergrenadiere Regiment 59\' (sergeant in rifle regiment 59). The boards - which are slightly mismatched but always were together - have the neat \'Wiesengrün\' (rifle green) \'silk-lined\' piping. The pair - which is not exactly matching but very close (esp. the lining of the tongues is from a different shaded material) - is in nice condition and was fairly worn. Both have the bluish-grey, subdued NCO braid attached. Of additional interest is the fact that the aluminium \'5\' and \'9\' cyphers - which are absolutely original to the boards - show the same age patina! A very nice and desirable set in a scarce branch-colour!
