Fully matching pair of WH (Heer) NCO-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboards: 'Feldwebel der Infanterie einer Ergänzungseinheit' - nice, albeit slightly used, condition!
This is a nice - and fully matching - pair of M-36 type, WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderboards, having the white (woolen) piping, as intended for a 'Feldwebel der Infanterie einer Ergänzungseinheit' (= sergeant in a replacement infantry) unit. The boards - which measure 10 cms. are most likely 'privately purchased' and come with their (small-sized) tongues. They are in an overall nice, condition and show IMO little wear and/or usage. Both have a dark-green woolen deck, silverish, standard WH-type NCO-braid, two identical pips and two silver (but slightly tarnished) metal, gothic 'E' cyphers, attached (which are scarce by themselves). A nice 'cyphered' set that IMO is fairly priced!

Non-matching pair of WH (Heer) NCO-type shoulderboards: 'Oberfeldwebel des Infanterie Rgt.15' - nice, albeit slightly used, condition!
This is a nice - albeit slightly mis-matched - pair of WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderboards, having the white (woolen) piping, as intended for an 'Oberfeldwebel' (sergeant first class) in the 'Infanterie' (= infantry) unit, numbered '15'. The boards - which measure 11 cms. and are of the 'sew-in'-type - are in an overall nice, condition and show IMO little wear and usage. Both have a dark-green woolen deck, silverish, standard WH-type NCO-braid, two identical pips and two silver (but slightly tarnished) '1' & '5' cyphers, originally attached. This pair shows very minor moth-damage on the back, but nothing that shocking. This pair was most certainly always together (and worn by the same soldier: the pair just differs a tiny bit from eachother (different backing). A nice set that IMO is fairly priced!

Very rare (ie. never before seen!) complete 'tropical' (ie. DAK) set of matching replacement carrying straps for a German WWII gas-mask cannister (mm & dated '1942') - very nice, mint unissued condition!
This is a surely very rare (ie. never before seen!) complete 'tropical' (ie. DAK) set, comprising of matching replacement carrying straps for a German WWII gas-mask cannister (mm & dated '1942'), in very nice, mint unissued condition. The straps are neatly executed in yellowish/greenish cotton and have 'interwoven button-holes'. All metal pieces - executed in steel are anodized, giving all metal parts a greenish-coloured finish. The pointed-ends are both mm: one shows the typical 'Lux' stamp. The pieces are maker-marked (stamped in black ink) but the producer-name is hard to read: the date, however, can easily be read. These were most definitely produced and used for the tropical coloured gas-mask cannisters. All matching gasmask strap-sets are very hard to obtain: these are maybe the rarest I have ever seen, something that IMO merits is (high) asking price. A nice and desirable set and something for the advanced DAK collector!

Scarce, matching pair of WH (Heer) NCO-type shoulderboards: 'Oberfeldwebel der Gebirgsjäger des Rgt.15' - nice, albeit slightly used and incomplete condition!
This is a nice - and matching - pair of WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderboards, having the dark-green (woolen) piping, as intended for a 'Oberfeldwebel' (sergeant first class) in the 'Gebirgsjäger' (= mountain-troops) unit, numbered '15'. The boards - which measure 12 cms. and are of the 'sew-in'-type - are in nice, text-book condition and show IMO litlle wear and usage. Both boards which are a bit smaller in width - have a dark-green woolen deck, silverish, standard WH-type NCO-braid, four identical pips and two silver (but slightly tarnished) '1' & '5' cyphers, originally attached: regrettably, does one of the boards misses its numerals: these were there but are missing. This pair was found together with the two other pairs, figured under the numbers 18315 and 18316: all three sets were recently found at a German flea-market and originated from the same 'Gebirgsjäger' soldier. Simply a very nice and text-book pair of 'Heeres' boards in a desirable (and actually quite scarce!) branch-colour: I have priced this set according to its condition

Rare SA ('Sturmabteilungen') collar-tab device intended for the: 'Verstärkter Grenzaufsichtsdienst' (or 'VGAD') - nice condition!
This is a rare and unusual item: a SA ('Sturmabteilungen') collar-tab device, as intended for the: 'Verstärkter Grenzaufsichtsdienst' (or 'VGAD') (being a reinforced border surveillance service), in nice condition. The silver-metal device - which is neatly marked 'RzM' and '75' - was IMO never used and still has its two original prongs. This 'obscure' service, which was founded in July 1939, comprised of soldiers coming from the 'SA Standarten' 5 and 128. This (rare!) piece of insignia - having a diameter of approx. 3 cms. - was worn on a 'standard' black-woolen collar-tab. A very nice piece of SA-related insignia that is not often offered for sale!

Fully matching pair of WH (Heer) NCO ('Oberfeldwebel' and 'Offiziersanwärter') shoulder-boards - 'Pioniere' (engineers) - nice, slightly used condition!
This is a very nice and fully matching pair of WH (Heer) NCO shoulder-boards, neatly piped in the black branch-colour ('silk-like' piping) as intended for an 'Oberfeldwebel' (and 'Offiziersanwärter') in an enigineers ('Pioniere') unit (sergeant first class and officers' candidate). The set is IMO an early-war pair, executed in field-grey cloth (but having a dark-green deck, which is 'later attached': IMO done when the NCO braid was attached to the boards. The set has 4 identical (and large-sized!) pips originally attached and is in a nice, albeit clearly used, condition. Both boards have the 'silk-like' piping and 'standard' Heeres-type silver NCO braid. Also the two nice and scarce 'Offiziersanwärter' loops - made out of the silverish-grey NCO braid stitched on loops of field-grey cloth - are original to the boards. The set has functional tongues (which are nicely ink-stamped: '15', which is not unusual). Simply a very nice 'text-book' pair in a desirable branch-colour: great to complete a tunic!

Early version of the 'Westwall' medal / 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' that comes on its original ribbon - nice, albeit cleaned condition!
This is a nice example of the German 'Westwall' medal (aka 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen') that comes with its original (confectioned and 18 cms. long) ribbon. The medal was regrettably polished or cleaned but still shows great detail. The ribbon is in clearly used condition and shows some regular age and wear. I deem this an early piece that was surely handed-out. Strangely enough is it sometimes more difficult to obtain an original piece of ribbon than the medal itself. A nice & early 'Westwall' medal that IMO is fairly priced!
