This is an attractive - not that easily found and I deem just moderately used- ie. worn! - example of a WH (Heeres) 'Armwinkel' (ie.: arm-chevron) as was executed on a typical, darker-green-coloured- and/or (smooth)woolen-based background as was intended for usage by a soldier with the - unusually encountered! - rank of an: 'Obergefreiter mit mehr als 6 Dienstjahren' (ie. senior-private having more than 6 service-years) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem clearly used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed and shows a detailed, hand-embroidered- (and silver-coloured- and braid-based) 'star' whereunder a single-stripe of silverish-blue-coloured- (ie. minimally-'sub-dued') and/or 'standard'-pattern NCO-braid can be observed. The patch was recently found at a private-household in Germany. The piece is void of an addtional 'backing' as is more often observed (as can be seen on the pictures). It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple' Heeres-related rank-insignia are quite hard to encounter. Simply an attractive - and unsually found! - WH-rank-badge that is I deem accordingly priced!
